Receiving education

The exception to the basic condition of ‘not receiving education’ in the Welfare Reform Act 2012 is set out in the Universal Credit Regulations 2013 (SI.No.376/2013).

Older member of couple excepted from meeting basic condition of ‘not receiving education’

Regulation 14 of SI.No.376/2013

Includes provision excepting claimants of pension age from needing to meet the basic condition in section 4(1)(d) of the Welfare Reform Act 2012 of ‘not receiving education’.

In Northern Ireland, SR.No.216/2016 includes provisions that are equivalent to those in Great Britain.
