Standard allowance in 2020/2021

Regulation 3 of SI.No.371/2020

Modifies the amount of the standard allowance in addition to updating in relation to 2020/2021 (although the temporary increase will not apply for the purposes of calculating transitional protection in relation to a claimant who is moved to universal credit under managed migration).

SR.No.53/2020 makes provision in Northern Ireland equivalent to that in Great Britain in relation to temporary increase to the standard allowance.

Further explanation of the policy change in response to the COVID-19 outbreak is set out in guidance.
